Fort Myers Engagement Photography, Bowditch Beach, Fort Myers, Florida. Laura and Larry met us at Fort Myers Beach this week to do their engagement session at sunset. We started at the pier at Fort Myers Beach and then traveled to Bowditch Beach which we had all to ourselves for engagement photos. We had lots of fun at the beach and the sunset was just amazing. I love how the sailboats come by at just the right moments for our beach engagement photos. There was also a poinsetta tree at Time Square on Fort Myers Beach so we did some photos for their Christmas cards at the same time. Laura and Larry are getting married at Miromar Lakes Beach and Golf Club in May and we are very excited to be doing their wedding too. For Christmas, Miromar Lakes has all of their palm trees lit up in blue lights so Laura wanted some photos there. We left Fort Myers Beach after sunset and traveled to the fountain at Miromar Lakes for more engagement photos after dark. Here are a few of my favorite photos from their engagement session. The Inn on Fifth Hotel, Naples, Florida. We were very excited when Janis and Laura told us they were checking in to the Inn on Fifth Hotel for their engagement session photo weekend. I love to see all the Christmas lights on Fifth Avenue in Naples at Christmas. They were spectacular this year and it was perfect timing for Laura and Janis’ Christmas Card photos too. They had their 3 outfits co-ordinated so we did photos in 3 locations and ended up back at the Inn on Fifth after dark so we could photograph them in their red outfits with all of the Christmas decorations and lights. We started out at the Garden of Hope, where there are lots of interesting photo opportunities and backdrops. It started to sprinkle for just a few moments but we had our trusty umbrella with us which ended up being an adorable picture too. The Naples Pier and Naples beach was our second location for sunset and the sky was perfect. Laura and Janis are so fun to be with, we all had a great time together. Our last stop was back at the Inn on Fifth and we finished the evening with some Christmas photos in the hotel and then went out to the courtyard at Mc Cabe’s Irish Pub and Grill. We were all laughing hysterically when the snowman decided to eject his carrot nose onto the pavement. It was a night to remember…… We are looking forward to Janis and Laura’s Wedding at Gateway Country Club in September. Congratulations Janis and Laura!

For the past 3 weeks my husband Dave and I have been on an adventure travel trip. We started our adventures in Bangkok, Thailand and then traveled to Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. Everyday of our journey was exceptional. Of course I took thousands of photos along the way. I will be posting some of the photos on my blog here after the New Year. I have lots of weddings and engagements through the New Year so I will get to the travel photos after I finish my work. Stay tuned for some gorgeous travel photos after the holidays. Happy Holidays! Marco Beach Ocean Resort, Marco Island, Florida. Omar and Jacqueline became interested in each other when they were matched up as partners in the Dancing with the Real Estate Stars Competition in Chicago in 2009. They practiced 3 times a week. Dancing works up your appetite so soon the dance practices included dinner, yes- three times a week. As Jacqueline tells the story “after performing our amazing dance routine and the competition came to an end, Omar said – so what are you doing this weekend, do you have any plans? From that day forward, the only plans we both ever had included the two of us.”
From the looks on their faces as they gaze into each others eyes their plans will be together forever for a lifetime. When you see them together it is just pure joy.
We had the opportunity this summer to go to Chicago and do an engagement session with Jacqueline and Omar. They took us to all of their favorite spots and we ended up at the Chicago Bean and Crown Fountain in Millennium Park after dark. We went all over Chicago that day and had a great time. So when it came time for the wedding Stefania and I knew them well and they trusted us.
The wedding was fabulous, they saw each other before the wedding for a first glance session and we had the chance to do all of their formal family photos in the beautiful Marco Beach Ocean Resort Gardens. Then we went out to the Marco Island Beach with Bob Mitchell of a Beautiful Florida Wedding for a romantic wedding ceremony. Sea Side Strings played during the ceremony and while we did wedding pictures on the beach at sunset. There were lots of seagulls and a strong cool breeze on the beach that evening. Then we went back up to the resort for a fabulous outdoor reception on the terrace of the Marco Beach Ocean Resort. There were wonderful toasts by both maid of honor and Omar’s 2 brother, the best men. Jacqueline and Omar’s moms then got up and their speeches were very touching. Dj Ceron did a wonderful job with the music and kept everyone entertained and dancing. Corrin Green, the wedding co-ordinator of the Marco Beach Ocean Resort did fantastic keeping everyone happy and relaxed. The Marco Island Florist did amazing bouquets and arrangement and Ella’s Cakes was delicious as always. Congratulations Jacqueline and Omar! Naples Bay Resort Wedding Photography, Naples, Florida. Christina and Scott were married in a destination wedding at the gorgeous Naples Bay Resort on 5th Avenue. Russ Winn of SW Florida Wedding Officiant.com did a wonderful outdoor ceremony at the Yacht Club at the Resort overlooking the pool and the bay. Lynn Alexander, Catering and Conference Service Manager was wonderful and made sure everything went perfect. Sir Daniel and David Frohmberg of Salon Tease did the hair and makeup and had the girls looking gorgeous for their wedding pictures. Grace Lakes Florist did the tropical wedding bouquets and centerpieces and Publix did the wedding cake. Mobile Sound Entertainment DJ Dominic Buonantuono did a great job with the music and had everyone dancing all evening. The outdoor reception was amazing under the stars. The guests dined by the pool and watched the sunset on the horizon. Congratulations Christina and Scott! Marco Island Wedding Photography. Marco Beach Ocean Resort, Marco Island, Florida. Olivia and Frank are from Tennessee and wanted a small, intimate wedding with just their children in attendance. They planned a beautiful morning wedding on 11/11/11. It was sunny and breezy on the beach for their ceremony. Patti Fueffinger of Wedding on an Island was the officiant and did a wonderful ceremony. We traveled around the resort and walked over to the Marco Marriott for a few wedding pictures in front of their waterfalls and fountains too. Marco Island Wedding Photography, Marco Beach Ocean Resort, Florida. This weekend was the busiest wedding weekend of the year. The Gannett News Press did an article on 11/11/11 Weddings and our bride and groom- Jacqueline and Omar Meyers, who were married at the Marco Beach Ocean Resort were featured. Jacqueline and Omar are one of my favorite couples- this summer we traveled to Chicago, where they live to do a engagement photoshoot for them. Marco Beach Ocean Resort Wedding Photography, Marco Island, Florida. Kristin and Eric were married last weekend in a beautiful destination beach wedding at sunset on Marco Island. Kristin’s daughter Kerri was the flowergirl and stole the show. She had a floral wreath from the Marco Island Florist which made her even more adorable and went perfect with her dress. She loved how poofy her dress was and she thought she looked like a marshmellow. After the beach ceremony she ran after all the seagulls on the beach and loved to watch them take off and fly.
They had perfect weather with no humidity so it was a delightful outdoor reception on the terrace overlooking the beach. The guests loved to be overlooking the beach at sunset and dined under the stars. They were lots of fun to work with and both Kristin and Eric are very easygoing. It was a great evening and all the guests had a wonderful time. The Marco Island Florist did the wedding bouquets and centerpieces. Ella’s Cake did the beautiful wedding cake with the pink roses and John Caltabiano of A Sound Sensation was the DJ. Here are a few images from their wedding photography. Marco Beach Ocean Resort Wedding Photography. Last weekend we were delighted to photograph Laura and Greg’s Destination Beach Wedding at the Marco Beach Ocean Resort. The weatherman had predicted a 90% chance of rain that day so we were elated when there was sunshine and a fantastic sunset. Reverend Steven Wigdahl of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Naples did a beautiful ceremony on the beach and Laura’s dad, Bill, who is a concert pianist played for all the guests during the ceremony. They had a beach theme for their wedding and had the most adorable sea turtle for favors. They commissioned the Marco Island Shell Club to make little sea turtles out of shells as favors for all of the guests. The Shell Club has a charitable focus and fund a scholarship for a SW Florida college student studying marine biology.
Laura and Greg live in Denver, Colorado and met on eharmony. I love the story of their engagement. Greg surprised Laura with a three day weekend “in the mountains” that turned out to be the Ritz Carlton at the Beaver Creek Ski Resort and they took her dog Eva along too! It was a perfect weekend and she said yes on the spot.
Back to the wedding- after the ceremony and family photos and romantic wedding photos on the beach everyone went to the ballroom for the reception. All the guests were entertained by DJ Ceron all evening. At 9 pm there were amazing fireworks on the beach which we all viewed from the Marco Beach Ocean Resort Terrace. It was a wonderful evening and Corrin Green, the wedding co-ordinator of the Marco Beach Ocean Resort did a fabulous job. Glen Eagle Country Club, Naples, Florida. Last weekend we had the pleasure of photographing Jennifer and Clay’s Wedding at the Faith Lutheran Church in Naples and reception at the Glen Eagle Country Club. Both Jennifer and Clay were living in Naples when they were introduced on the beach in 2006. Their romance blossomed and Clay proposed at the same restaurant they went to on their first date. Jennifer looked gorgeous in her strapless David’s Bridal gown with beading extending down the front and sides of the dress. You must see her zebra striped shoes she wore with her wedding gown! Her two sisters Tiffany and Brittany were bridesmaids. Tiffany is also engaged and we will be also be photographing her wedding to Paul in February at the Strand Country Club. The wedding ceremony at the Faith Lutheran Church was beautiful and we did the formal family photos on the altar there and then Jennifer and Clay traveled by limo to the country club. Kary Bertrand, the Food and Beverage Manager of the Country Club did a great job. The flowers were done by Gene’s Fifth Avenue Florist and the DJ was Douglas Williams. Wedding Cake was by Publix.
